“Who is Yasmin?” 👩🐉

I’m Yasmin, a travel strategist and storyteller focused on helping travelers explore hidden gems and off the beaten track destinations, especially in China.

With a Master’s degree from one of China’s leading universities in International Affairs & Global Governance and years of firsthand experience on the ground, my work sits at the intersection of culture, history, and real-life travel. I don’t believe in ticking off destinations; I believe in understanding places beyond surface narratives, through human connections, everyday life, and the unspoken details that shape how people truly live.

Born in France to an Italian mother and a German father who met in India, and having lived across multiple countries before settling in China, cross-cultural exploration has always been part of my life. For me, travel isn’t a phase or a passion: it’s a way of life.

Since 2018, I’ve been traveling continuously in and out of China, visiting EVERY single province multiple times. I speak Chinese, navigate independently, and understand the country far beyond guidebooks or social media trends.

China has become the place I know most deeply, in many ways, even more than my own country. I speak five languages and have traveled to over 70 countries, yet China remains my home. It’s where I’ve spent the most time, built the strongest understanding, and developed a clear, different perspective!
